In-Cab Warning Systems


The Parksafe + helps to prevent vehicle roll aways by a clear audible spoken warning inside the vehicle, “Warning, park brake not applied”. The system works in all ignition states and can only be cancelled by the correct operation of park brake. Another feature of the Parksafe + is the automatic muting of all in cab devices if required and SAFE mobile phone operation control. The Parksafe system can be fitted to all vehicles regardless of make or model.

Parksafe Shunt

An audible spoken warning is sounded if the park brake is not correctly applied by the driver before leaving the vehicle. The system operates in all ignition states and once activated can only be cancelled by correctly applying the park brake. The door circuit is triggered by an infra-red door beam therefore allowing the operator to leave the vehicle door open during shunting manoeuvres. The system will not interfere with the day to day operation of the vehicle if the park brake is used correctly. If the driver breaks the door beam, therefore attempts to leave the vehicle, before applying the handbrake regardless of the ignition state they will hear the following message ‘Warning Park Brake Not Applied’. The vehicle radio will be muted (optional addition) to ensure the instruction is heard. At this point the driver must apply the handbrake to cancel the warning. This is the only way to clear the warning. Unlike some systems the action of just closing the driver’s door will not cancel the message.

Body Watch

BodyWatch is a warning system developed to address the problem of moving vehicles around a site with the tipper body raised and operating inside the programmed parameters, but without a constant siren sounding. This reduces the risk of the user becoming complacent with the warning and reduces the external noise pollution levels in sensitive operating areas. Using time, speed and distance the system can contain the risk of incidents by monitoring these programmed values and subsequently only warning the operator when outside these values.

Mobileye Lane Departure Warning

The Mobileye collision avoidance system helps drivers by acting as a “third eye”, constantly monitoring the road in front of the vehicle. It identifies potentially dangerous situations, and provides audio and visual alerts to assist the driver in preventing or mitigating a collision. The Mobileye 6 Series includes a single forward-facing vision sensor, enabling vehicles to comply with the European Union regulation for Lane Departure Warning Systems. As a condition of the EU LDW standard, the new 6 Series displays LDW alerts and also complies with indicating when the system is inactive. Key features of the Mobileye systems are:
