Vtech 360° vehicle camera systems use four wide-angle cameras positioned around the vehicle to create an easy-to-interpret bird’s-eye view of the surrounding area.
The combined image gives drivers significantly improved visibility when manoeuvring large commercial vehicles, HGVs, plant machinery and specialist vehicles in restricted or busy environments.
Individual camera views can also be displayed when required. The system can be configured so that selecting reverse or operating an indicator automatically displays the most useful camera view for the manoeuvre.
Systems are available with local recording, and selected configurations can also be combined with a 4G-enabled DVR for remote access to live and recorded footage.
How Does a 360° Vehicle Camera System Work?
Four wide-angle cameras are installed around the vehicle, normally providing front, rear and side views.
The individual camera images are processed and combined to create a single bird’s-eye representation of the area immediately surrounding the vehicle.
This allows the driver to understand the vehicle’s position in relation to nearby obstacles, vehicles, pedestrians and other hazards without having to interpret several completely separate camera images.
Individual camera views can still be selected when a larger image is required, helping the driver during reversing, turning and close manoeuvring.

BirdEye 360
BirdEye 360 is Vtech’s four-camera surround-view system, designed to provide drivers with a clear bird’s-eye view around the vehicle.
The system uses HD 1080p wide-angle cameras and can be supplied with either a 7-inch or 10-inch monitor, depending on vehicle and customer requirements.
Drivers can view the complete surround image or select an individual camera when a larger view is required. Camera views can also be configured to respond automatically to vehicle inputs such as reverse gear or indicator operation.
BirdEye 360 includes local digital video recording using SD card storage and can also be integrated with an additional 4G-enabled DVR where remote fleet access or additional camera recording is required.

HD Wide-Angle Vehicle Cameras

The system uses 180° wide-angle cameras positioned around the vehicle to provide the field of view required for surround-view image processing, creating a clear 360° bird’s-eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings.
Add Remote Recording & Fleet Monitoring
For operators requiring additional recording capacity or remote fleet access, the 360° camera system can be combined with a compatible 4G-enabled Vtech DVR.
This allows authorised fleet users to access vehicle camera footage remotely through the Vtech TMS2 online portal.
Depending on the DVR configuration, users can access:
