Parksafe Shunt Rollaway Prevention System
The Parksafe Shunt system is designed to prevent dangerous vehicle rollaway incidents by alerting the driver with a clear, audible spoken warning if the parking brake has not been correctly applied.

How the System Works
- When the driver attempts to leave the vehicle without applying the parking brake, the system is triggered
- An infra-red door beam detects when the driver exits the cab
- A clear spoken warning is immediately issued inside the vehicle
- The system operates in all ignition states
👉 The warning can only be cancelled by correctly applying the parking brake
Enhanced Safety Logic
- The system allows the door to remain open during shunting manoeuvres without triggering false alerts
- If the driver breaks the door beam before applying the brake, the warning will sound regardless of ignition status
